I am addicted to these things, and they cost 90 cents each at my corner store. I was a little put off by the title since there was no picture and I never heard of a Planters Peanut Butter Bar, but at this price I decided to take a gamble. Sweet! Hyperfast FREE Super Saver shipping brought my treats to me in just two days, and they are the real thing. The Original Planters Peanut Bar, Yum! They are well packed in little boxes of 24 each, and the first box I have opened already. It has no broken bars in it. So, my treats are costing me only 22 cents each. I am so happy and I am set for at least four months, unless I share them, of course.

Great product and the price is good too - better than the two-for-one sales at the local drug store. The only problem is the expiration date. I received 144 Planters Peanut Bars on 9/19/09 (only two days after placing the order). They have an expiration date of 12/12/09. I called Planters customer service and was told the expiration date is 9 months after production and the quality of the product diminishes thereafter. Well, that's less than 3 months to consume 144 bars. I would give this a 5 star rating if I had 6 or more months to eat them all.

At about twenty cents for a full size peanut bar these are a remarkable value. Check your order carefully. The case I received had obviously been dropped. Many of the bars were cracked and/or broken. I contacted Amazon.com customer service. They could not have been more accommodating. They returned my email complaint within hours with an email and a telephone call.
Also remember that these delicious bars are very caloric. They contain 244 calories each with 14 grams of fat and 90 grams of salt. However, if you buy these at retail on a regular basis you will save a "ton" of money.... in exchange for a ton of calories...
Check the expiration date. If it is short share the candy with neighbors, friends or co-workers.
